We pay for Norton which seems to do the job. My wife likes it because it backs up to cloud. However, as TalkTalk customers we can get their security package free. Should we use it or stay with Norton. I know some of you will knock TalkTalk, so, sensible answers please.

i use free f-secure from talktalk and it seems to do the job!

Norton is very good - especially as the latest version is good for PCs, tablets and phones alike. I`ve never used the cloud facility as, at one time or another, all these online storage places get hacked.
