Help! System Restore Has Set Laptop Back To Needing Password - And I Dont Know It!

i've just done an system restore on an old laptop - but its now set it back to where it needs a password! i had obviously removed this as it was working fine before i did it

how can i reverse this, given that i cant sign in to get to system settings?

is there another way to do this ? command prompt or something?

I'll assume that it's a Windows password which you're being asked for, rather than a BIOS one (as I can't see how using System Restore could affect a BIOS password).

So which version of Windows is on the laptop?
