It happens often and works again after re-setting, but tonight we re-set it several times before it finally decided to work again. Any ideas - or is a new one in order?
Threaten to cancel, let them talk you into taking a 'free' Sky+ HD box (you pay about £6.00 postage) and sign up for a year as a new customer.
Presto magico, fixed. :-)
Douglas is right of course. But you could try a system reset and clear your planner. Some of the systems had a minidisc type hard drive which do go toots up in time. You will need to post the make and model if you can then techie solutions can be offered.
naomi if you can post the make and model it will help. Different models have different 'stock' faults. Also have a look at your sky card. Over the years they can get heat damaged around the chip that is embedded in them, carefully cleaning the metal surface (as you do for a sim card) sometimes helps. If the card is obviously heat damaged Sky will replace it, and you can do a re-boot.
Douglas is correct. When my sky-box went daft I rang and ask them to send a new one they said that will cost you (can't remember how much) X amount.
I told them if they couldn't provide me with the service I pay for I was cancelling ... hang on sir let me just have a word with my superior and see what we can do!
