Problems With Toshiba Regza Lcd (Av615 Model) Tv

Over the past couple of weeks our TV seems to have a mind of its own. We only have a digibox with it, no antenna for Spanish channels. It swaps from scart 1 to TV so the picture disappears and displays the message 'please scan channels'on a black screen. Selecting scart 1 option from the 'input from external sources' choices on the remote control the picture returns. A scan of the channels shows no channels. It can go for 2 to 3 days without this happening and other times it can happen every 20 seconds to a minute. It's really playing up tonight. Any thoughts. Thanks in advance

Your TV seems to think that there's nothing plugged into the Scart socket and so reverts to its default aerial source (where scanning for channels obviously won't find any because there's no aerial).

Your reference to 'Scart 1' (rather than to just 'Scart') suggests that there's another ('Scart 2') socket available. Try using that as the input source (and/or try another Scart cable).

Thanks Buenchico I'll give that a go. It was so bad last night I turned the TV off after about 50 attempts to correct the problem! I'll report back in a few days, thanks again.

I think you've cracked it Buenchico, no problems with the TV for 4 days now, since I fiddled with the scart lead so muchas gracias.
