I put my iphone in the washing machine. Can the data on the sim card be transferred to another type of phone or has it gone forever. Not sure I want another iphone as it's been playing up lately

If you have an Apple iCloud account all the phone's data will be saved from your last backup of the last time you charged it. The sim card can easily be replaced.

If you place the phone in a bag of rice for a few days it will dry out.

Thanks Jomlett, it is in a box of rice right now and I did back up on Saturday. I'll hand on until tomorrow then if it still doesn't work I'll have to get a new phone as I need one desperately this week
