I am using my old laptop at the moment, The curser on my Lenovo laptop has frozen .can anyone help me to release it.

Let's start with the old trick of turning it off and turning it on again (which has worked for me plenty of times!):

Remove the power lead (if appropriate). Turn it over. Slide the battery release catches and pull the battery out. Wait for a short while. Replace the battery and turn it on again.

Have you disabled the touchpad in error? Across the top keys on the keyboard should be one that looks like a touchpad with a line through it.

. . . which toggles the touchpad on and off when you press the 'Fn' key at the same time.

Thankyou, yes I had turned off the touchpad key in error,another lesson learned.
