DVD + RW - Finishing

Do DVD+Rw Discs need " Finishing"? The manual of the Recorder indicates that you do - however when I go to the Disc menu you cant highlight the FINISH option.

Are you talking about a computer recorder or a stand-alone ('under the TV type') recorder. Most discs need finalising - even DVR -R and DVD +R on my 'under the TV' DVD recorder (LG). On a computer DVD recorder you certainly will need to finalise if you want the re-writeable to play on other DVD players. What model are you using?

I am using an LG stand alone DVD Recorder .
