I want to print out the comments under an archived article from the Mail. I don`t want to just print the page because it looks like lots of subsequent pages will print. Is there anyway I can do it?

Can you not use the snipping tool?
Question Author
Sorry, I don`t know what that is.
Screen grab. The text will not be editable though.

You can also save to pdf rather than print. If you get lots of pages, you can delete them.
Ask it to print and in the print dialog box just select the pages you want
@237SJ

Click-drag (hold down the button) across & down, to highlight a batch of comments, releasing the mouse button at the bottom right of what you want.

Cursor over the highlighted text; Right click and choose what to do next from the menu which pops out.

Some webpages are designed to suppress copy & paste, print, screen grab etc. so try this and see what it allows.

If need be, copy and paste into a desktop document to save & print it.

Thanks for the answers. I`m trying to use the snipping tool but the trouble is, there are 57 comments and I need to page up to get them all and that doesn`t seem to be possible. It can only snip what is on the screen.
do it in 2 goes pasting into a word doc in between.
@237SJ

with click&drag, if you bump the cursor on the bottom of the window (still keeping the left mouse button held down, as you do so) the page should scroll down and your highlighted area will enlarge.

Thanks hypo - I have tried the click and drag but after the first couple of comments, it highlights all of the showbiz gossip on the RH side of the page as well as the text that I want. When I then looked at a print preview, those items were listed one after the other down the page after the part that I want to print and it was going to run to 49 pages.
What browser do you use?
You can highlight the comments only and drag the page down in Edge but not in Chrome
Question Author
hc - I use Firefox
@237SJ

Yes, some pages are designed in ways which make copy/paste user unfriendly.

I hate to say it's deliberate but…

By the way, I take it that you are not dragging across the sidebar stories but they are getting highlighted anyway? (Just want to check that you didn't take "drag to the lower right of the page" too literally.

Am off out and might not respond for some time. ttfn

Try Edge if you have W10
Just type it all out ;-)
I have copied comments from there before. If you keep your cursor to the left of the screen you should be able to avoid all the other stuff. You might have to twiddle with your scrolling wheel at the same time.
Select it all paste it into Word and then tidy it up there.

Thanks for the further replies. Hypo and Wolf - I`m being really careful with the curser but it still highlights the stuff on the right of the screen. I`ll probably leave it for now as I have a friend arriving soon for a few days and am about to have a Cava session... Thanks again.

I`ve just had another look at the article and I see that at the top, there is one of those little triangular 'share' symbols and it allows you to print. What a nitwit - I didn`t notice that yesterday. Thanks for all the help.
