Add Ons

Mac O XS Yosemite V 10.10.5

Clicked on something in error, (ignorance) and installed something I am hating.
thesmartsearch.... hate it, it looks all wrong and puts me off.
In words of one syllable (maybe 2) how on earth do I delete/get rid of it?

I use Firefox as my browser of choice :)

Can you ....
1. go to the firefox menu
2. select add-ons (looks like a puzzle piece)
3. Look at the extensions and plugins tabs
4. disable/uninstall the offending plugin/extension/add-on

And let us know how you get on...
