Hp Deskjet 3055A Printer
9 Answers
3 months ago I replaced my ink with a brand from Tesco (can be used in any printer) and have successfully printed off both colour and black and white copies since then. Today I needed 6 copies of a document and only managed 4 when I got a message saying Incompatible black cartridge. Nothing I do will remove this message from the screen. There must be a way (without buying HP ink) to still use the printer!

"I figured it out! After lots of button pushing and forum reading, I figured out how to make my HP Envy 4500 allow compatible non-HP ink cartridges.
With the refurbished cartridge out, go to "Tools" and scroll down to "Restore to Default" and click "OK".
After that you should be good to go! Insert the Cartridges, do the alignment and it's as good as new"

Apologies Apologies..... When I posted my request for information on my HP Printer I got the number wrong. It is HP Deskjet 3050 A not 3055. Sorry about wasting your time but would still welcome advise on how to debug it. Cant see a scroll down button on printer so guess it must be different. Once again my apologies
