Given that the photocopying facility works, two possible problems come to mind:
Firstly, if the printer is connected via wifi, there might be a problem with that connection Try turning
everything off (i.e. your computer, your printer and your router) COMPLETELY (i.e. by disconnecting the power, rather than just pressing an 'Off' switch, waiting for a minute or so and then turning everything on again). If that doesn't work, follow the oroiginal instructions for connecting your printer to your router again.
Alternatively, there could be a problem with the printer driver. Reinstall it from the original disc that came with the printer, or from here:
