Fender Champion 30 Dsp Amp Problem

Hello.
I have a fender champion amp that makes a sound like an old radio being tuned when the guitar is unplugged and the clean channel volume is turned. With the guitar plugged in it doesn't happen. also doesn't affect the gain channel. Any ideas?

Looking at the circuit diagram, the input jack should be shorted when the jack is unplugged (thus, effectively muting it). At a guess, the socket is faulty.

Sir i salute you. Spot on diagnosis. i wasted time looking for a bad cap or solder joint. didn't even think about the jack socket - doh.
