Well, I've been with them for nearly five years and a year on Broadband - so far no complaints but like all big companies the Helpline is in Timbuktu ( or wherever) and occasionally it is a little difficult to understand and be understood.

I know this is probably to do with the exchange and also where you are in the country but the speed has been constant, and no loss of connection - so I'm more than satisfied with them.

Hi there,

My husband was with  tiscali broadband until about      8 months ago, one day we just lost the service on the line. Tiscali kept insisting the service was up and running and it was our equipment, he went to the expense of buying a new router ( almost 100) and had the same result. He phoned them up again and tried to make himself understood, they have an indian customer service line, although very polite you cannot get yourself understood. Any way three weeks later and still no resolution he got BT Broadband in and they fixed it in an afternoon. He  gave up on tiscali and went to BT. He would not recommend Tiscali I found them most unhelpful and it cost us 100 without Tiscali offering us compensation for the downtime.

mmmmmmmm, id heard the service was ok, but the help was terrible, even worse than the usual. I am tempted by the current crop of TV ads for their service for only 14.99 a month, thats what I pay for my dial-up connection!
I'm on Tiscali broadband and have had no problems whatsoever.  I can't comment on their customer services as I have never had the need to call them!
I don't trust Tiscali.  I had been a dial-up customer for a number of years (on an unlimited access basis) when all of a sudden they sent out a snotty letter accusing me (and several other long-term customers) of overuse - their infrastructure was having trouble coping with demand.  We all got disconnected within days. There was a big hoo-haa about it in the press etc at the time and I certainly wouldn't go there again.
I've heard they're not the best to put it nicely. Have a look her for similar deals :
