On your Win7 machine, did you have anything like OEM MS Office installed?
Would I be forced to shell out for Word, Excel and anything else M$ wants another 300 quid for?
This is the kind of thing I've heard not enough about.
As it was, Win 7 wouldn't support old faves, like SimCity4 (Deluxe Edition), not even in "compatability mode". Something about an old .dll which is no longer supported. (Not that lappy gfx would be up to it).
Anyway, lesson learned, back then and none of us trust Win10 with backward compatability issues, pending tales of woe, or joy from those more bold (and less addicted) than us.
You get the picture?
The other factor is "if it's free, what's the catch?" Business brain (such as it is) wants to know how they make money out of millions of freebies?
