If you are running Windows XP Home then you should be able to find something called Shared Folders.
I am not sure where they are because I do not have a PC with XP Home on it at the moment, it may be in My Computer or My Documents, or one of the menu options of them.
Once you have found Shared Folders do as follows.
1) Logon with your husbands ID and move YOUR folder to the Shared Folder. You can do this by dragging it with the mouse, probably holding the mouse button down.
2) Now logoff your husbands ID and logon with your own id.
3) Find the Shared Folder and drag YOUR folder OUT of there onto your desktop, or even beter into your My Documents folder.
I have looked in the help and it says the following (I have rewritten it).
1) Logon as your husband
2) I assume the folder you want to move is on your husbands My Documents. If it is not move it there.
3) Now open his My Documents folder
4) Locate your folder you want to move
5) Select it with left button of mouse
6) Under File and Folder Tasks (on the left), click Move this folder
7) A Move Items dialog box is displayed
8) Click the Shared Documents folder
9) Click Move
So now your folder is in the shared documents folder.
Now everyone on the PC should be able to get to it.
Now logon as you and get your folder out of the Shared Folder and into your My Desktop folder
