Need a little more information than that I'm afraid.

What operating system are you on? (what version of windows), and what camera have you got?

Are you trying to connect it with the usb cable, installing software; or are you just putting the media card into your computer's card reader?

To fo3nix  thanks for reply may have to get back to you as I am not very techical windows 2000  camera vivitar vivicam3713/3713xi  and yes was connecting by usb cable have not got media card and did use cd rom that came with  camera I will have to show your reply to someone else then get back to you thanks

OK. Have you tried in the past to connect it, and failed?

Right-click my computer on your desktop, and click properties.
Click the hardware tab, and then click on the button labeled "device manager". see if your camera shows up there.. maybe with a question mark by it? If so, remove the camera by right-clicking it and clicking uninstall. Then restart your computer and try it again, but install the software before connecting the camera up (basically just follow the camera's instructions perfectly).

TO FO3NIX  right have done all that  someone  suggested a usb  port adaptor what do you think. camera works ok on another computer. thanks
hi,

I'd suggest you buy a card reader:

This should work with your camera (if not you have a very unusual memory card!), and will also probably work with a future camera you may buy. You should also not have to install any software for it.
