Windows XP Service Pack 3

Anybody found anything about the rumoured Service Pack 3 for Windows XP? Yes, I have Googled for it. One reference on a French web site. Some mention that it might be out after Windows Vista is launched. One link is here:-

It would be wary of that link. The text says

"his download may include additional applications bundled with the software's installer file".

Anyway, why are you so concerned about SP3 ? They have released a huge SP with SP2 so it is unlikely a SP3 will be out for a while.

It may be that any future SP may include some of the technology that will go into Vista, maybe to allow it to be tested before Vista is released.
