If you've got the menu bar but 'Bookmarks' is empty, please post again. (Firefox keeps back-up copies of your bookmarks file, so all is not lost!).

You seem to have reset Firefox (i.e. returned it to its 'out of the box' state), resulting in the loss of all your extensions. (To check, go to Tools > Add-ons > Extensions to see what's there).
So I'm guessing that you'll need to reinstall this
https:/ /addons .mozill a.org/e n-gb/fi refox/a ddon/ad block-p lus/
and this
https:/ /addons .mozill a.org/e n-GB/fi refox/a ddon/br itish-e nglish- diction ary-2/
(together with any other extensions you may have been using)
You'll also need to enable the bookmarks toolbar:

Crossed posts! (I hadn't seen the 'green line' bit).
As you seem to have partially reset Firefox anyway, it might be best to do the whole thing properly BEFORE what I've just written. To do so, go to Help > Troubleshooting Information and click on Refresh Firefox. That takes your browser back to its 'out of the box' state but still preserves your bookmarks.
