Pay As You Go
4 Answers
I have just made a call by mobile to a European mobile (not on roaming) that appears to have cost of the order of £1.50 a minute. I consider that a punitive rip-off rate. I rarely phone like this and also rarely within the UK so there is&will not be any package deal which for me would not amount to paying for nothing through lack of use. I do not have nor do I want a smartphone.
Can anyone suggest a pay-as-you-go deal where UK and European calls and texts are attractively priced.

OG, my aim is to avoid being stung and there appear to be only expensive options for international mobile to mobile calls except if you are outside the providers country and therefore where the EU law on roaming forces a "home" tariff on the provider. Of course I will simply only make international calls from my own mobile if/when I am abroad. Once Paradise is established and EU rules no longer apply to the UK, I will perhaps also stop using the mobile abroad.
