Hp Deskjet 1050A Printer

I have run the print and scan doctor and it says everything is ok. I can print a test page, notes from notebook, but i cannot get it to print out
even though i have the latest drivers. When my document goes to the print queue it says spooling, printing, then disappears. I have checked in services and automatic is on. My OS is windows 7 starter.

does it print from any software at all eg Word, or Notepad ?

go back to Services and stop the spooler service....then reboot
If its still not printing then you probably need to re-install the spooler drivers.

that doesnt make sense...you say the printer prints a test page and it prints notes from Notepad so what cant you get it to print out, from what wont it print ?

I am trying to print on paper. I also print on Photopaper too, and card as i am a cardmaker. It used to work but not now. I have made sure that the right printer is selected on the print page, and that i am using the right medium to print on. I am confused as it works ok in notepad and prints test page too.

so youre saying it prints on ordinary paper but wont print to your specialist media, or is there more info youre going to drip feed ?

You say you can print out from Note Pad, but you don't say what application you are using that it won't print from.

Perhaps the best advice we can give to goldfish is throw away her Printer and buy another one.

A glance below this thread in 'Related Questions' is indicative that the HP Deskjet 1050A Printer has been problematic for over a twelvemonth.
