Hi,   Well the problem is that the music on a "normal" music cd is not in mp3 format so you cant copy it to a mp3 player!    you will have to look around for a program to convert the files but then the converted files will be much smaller than the originals and you can get loads of them on a CD.  The downside is that when the files are made smaller (compressed) some of the data is lost and the sound quality is not so good, On a mp3 player you will not hear the difference,.

When I want to transfer a c/d to my Archos mp3 player. I have to change the format as it will not reconise a c/d.

You can change the format to wma in Windows media player. I have a c/d to mp3 converter installed on my laptop that is so easy to use and it puts all the converted mp3's in to one folder. Then I just connect my player to my laptop, drag and drop the mp3's into the music folder of my player, update my player library after disconnecting and it sorts it out for me.

Can't help you with i-tunes as I have never used it, but it is probably very much the same thing.

Hope this helps
