Windows 10

I clicked on Photos on the 'life at a glance' part of the home page,(how I wish I hadn't) I found all my pics on it from Picasa but before I came to them I had to scroll thro' literally thousands of pics of garbage, arrows, stars, crosses, playing cards, you name it and it is there, it took me about 30mins to scroll down before the bulk of my pics came up, I had the same thing on media (I think) in windows 7 but never bothered as I just used Picasa.I was afraid my Picasa pics might have disappeared but thankfully they seem o.k.
I tried to delete the garbage but all I got was 'we couldn't delete one or more of the files.Another app might be using them or you might not have permission to delete them'. Please, please can anyone tell me how to get rid of them. I use firefox with 10, bought an ipad about the same time I got w.10 so between the two of them my head is in the shed, so words of one syllable please :o)

No harm in trying the One Drive thing, rosy, you can always change it. That 'junk' isn't slowing your pc down and you can safely ignore it. It is on your pc and the Photos app has simply found it. You probably told Photos to import 'all' at one stage. A lot of it will be Windows icons and fonts, and icons from programs you have on your pc. Don't worry about it

With you now, rosy. :)
Your Windows photo album has imported every single graphic on your pc.
If you click on 'settings' bottom left of Photos, you will see 'sources' which tells you where Photos is gathering the photos from. Hopefully you will see a source that is not one of your photo folders - try unticking it.

Thank you hc for replying, I did as you suggested but there were 6folders all with my name on them, nothing else, but at least I don't have to trawl all thro' the junk to get to my pics now as I can just go straight to settings and view them there. Is it ok to leave the junk on, (not that I can do anything about it) I thought it would slow everything down, never seen so much 'stuff'.I must have pressed something to make it import everything do you think?
Thanks again for trying to help, rosy
