My battery for my mobile is on the blink and I'm not sure it's worth getting a new one or just to get a new phone.. I have a pay as you go phone with a fair bit of credit (vodafone)
Will I be able to keep my old number and will the credit get transferred to the new phone please?
Have tried to look on line but can only find info about changing providers which I don't want to do. Thank you
It's the SIM that represents your account, not the phone. So you can just get a replacement phone, and put your SIM in it. If the new phone takes a different size of SIM, you can get a replacement (which will retain your number and credit) from the Vodafone shop.
crapatcryptics my phone is about six years old and wasn't that expensive to begin with - very basic - will have a think about whether to replace whole thing or just the batteries - thank you
Batteries aren't awfully expensive, but then again, basic phones are very cheap. I'd be inclined to have a new phone, with the same number and transferred credit.
