I don't understand how you can have 2 D drives. How does the Dsc Manager describe them?

Your F drive is probably your ipod which will only show when its plugged in. You may have an error with picking it up so make sure your Itunes software and chipset drivers are up to date and your lead is ok.

The Disk Management shows

Volume
RECOVERY (D) Simple Basics Healthy (OEM) Partition 21.07GB 2.37GB
RECOVERY (D) Simple Basics NTFS Healthy (OEM) Partition 21.07 GB 2.37GB
the only difference being NTFS which also shows against the WINDOWS (C)
