MP3 on phone
6 Answers
My phone has an MP3 player. If I get the USB lead to connect it to my computer, how do I get songs off my computer onto the phone? I don't know how MP3 works...All my songs are stored in Windows Media Player.

If they're in mp3 format, it should just be a case of locating the file and sending it to your phone.
I personally use a bluetooth dongle, and it's a piece of cake to use. You can also use it to send photos you've taken to your computer, as well as using it to send stuff to your phone.

Thanks bobjim. Yep, they're saved as Windows Media Audio. That's what I don't really get, about what they need to be saved as, and how you can convert them once they're saved as a particular type. Is there any way of changing how music files are saved to your computer when you first put them on there...for example from a CD?
Download the small, free program called cdex and use that to record your CDs to mp3. Musicmatch Jukebox is better though (you may need to pay to get the best out of it). There are lots of programs to record Cds as mp3 but cdex is nice and simple.
Converting wma (media player) files to mp3 isn't easy - especially if they are protected. Maybe someone knows a link (I never use wma). A lot of programs on the net need payment to do this.
