Can anyone advise me on an MP3 player that is compatible with Windows 7 using the media player, i am looking for something around the £30 price bracket, i have already sent back 2 mp3 players to amazon, i have done the drag and drop then synced the music to the player, but it does not play, it comes up as file format not supported, i am sure the file format is WMA, which was noted on the info of the 2 players, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

WMA stands for Windows Media Format. i.e. it's a proprietary file format which is designed specifically to work with Microsoft Windows; you're unlikely to find any device without Windows installed on it that can handle WMA files. So stop trying to do the impossible. Convert your existing WMA files to MP3 using any of the countless free tools which are available, such as this well-reviewed one:

Then, in future, ensure that you always rip audio CDs directly to MP3 format:

Thanks for your help on this, the thing is that my creatative zen works perfect with the system already on the laptop, it is just when i try other mp3 players, but i will give the info you gave me a try, thanks again.
