How do Sky and Freeview operate on the same TV?
I am looking to buy a new TV with Freeview built in.
I have a SKY+HD box and service. Do they work together?

1. Freeview HD is better picture quality than Sky HD 2. Freeview doesn't go off when in snow or heavy rain 3. Sky and Freeview are complementary and work perfectly well together

yes they do no problem
Remember the good old days when there was only tv through the aerial? Freeview works like that - you need an aerial and set the option on the remote to 'TV'.

To watch Sky you need the satellite dish and the box and you set the input to AV or whatever.

The TV will have a built-in tuner for Freeview stations but not necessarily the HD ones. Sky will connect to your TV via an HDMI lead. You simply choose your input when you want to view.
If you already have Sky, why are you getting a Freeview TV, too? Just asking. :)

Look at the rear of your TV, you should see several options , HDMI sockets for HD TV & also Scart sockets for AV channels. Program your TV & Remote Control to receive different programmes on separate numbered channels.
