Small Ipad : Need More Storage

I have a small iPad and I use it for travelling.
I have downloaded some stuff from the BBC but it will only allow me to store a relatively small amount.
I have deleted everything possible. Is there any way of paying for more storage?

You can't alter the amount of storage space on the iPad itself. However you can increase the amount of cloud storage available for you to use. You get 5Gb of free cloud storage anyway but you can increase that tenfold (to 50Gb) for just 79p per month (with other options, for even more storage space, available as well).

Is it not possible to use an external drive ?

I have Samsung Tab 2 and use an external drive to store stuff on.

Just search on Amazon and eBay for iPad external storage. Loads there. Tesco do them too.
