I get an alert when I get a message on iPad mini, now I get a second alert a minute or so later. How can I delete this second alert? It is as if I have two messages ... Tia

Try Turn the banner off for the notifications that will do it. when it comes up on the front screen it alerts and when the banner comes across after unlocking it goes off. it took me a whole to figure it out but its a sure fix. Settings>Notifications>Messages>Alert Style>None

Ok I have done Settings> Notifications> Messages>
Repeat Alerts> none. Fingers crossed!
