Screen Settings

Everytime I switch off my computer and switch it on again later, the screen settings on my monitor keep adjusting and move about. Does anyone have any idea why this happens or how it could be resolved?

is this a flat panel, or a crt? are you talking about monitor settings or video card settings such as resolution?

It is a crt and i am talking about the monitor settings not the video card settings.

ok. I had a similar problem with a TFT that turned out to be a glitch with the monitor firmware for the On Screen Display. It didn't save the settings you gave it, so when the OSD disappeared so did the new settings. The solution was for the manufacturer to replace the firmware, which required shipping it back to them.
