Browser Got Redirected
2 Answers
Somehow my Chrome's browser got the Trotux virus through a free download a couple days ago. I have Eset and other security software installed on the PC but they picked up noting. It seems that malware still remains somewhere.Every time I open Chrome Trotux is still my homepage. After reading everything i could find(e.g. the manual guide in this post: http:// www.okp ckit.co m/how-t o-get-r id-of-t rotux-c om-comp letely- removal -guide/ ) to resolve this issue, nothing works. If anyone could help with this issue that would be great, thanks!

Worryingly, it asks you to download a removal tool. Quite often such tools can actually be nothing more than a trick to get you to install even more nasty stuff onto your computer, so (since I know nothing about that site) I wouldn't have recommended doing so.
Download this freebie instead and run it:

Then check that there aren't any unwanted extensions listed in Chrome. With a bit of luck that should be all that you need to do.
