ta HC ..have some old home film a friend in Oz wants....
The machinery is the same, so shouldn't be a problem minty.
Question Author
just wondered as I know there are zones in prerecorded discs
It should be OK. Same voltage etc.
It's only commercial DVDs which are 'region protected'. (A movie bought on a Region 2 disk in Europe won't play on a Region 4 DVD player in Oz). The system is designed to maximise the profits of film companies, as it allows them to sell the distribution rights of their movies several times over.

Home-produced DVDs won't have region protection on them.
i have some American discs that won't play on my dvd, which is a nuisance.
