Desk Top Icons Help....

I have quite a few like most people, but most are just a white paper page, with right hand corner folded over.

The others, like my bank, google, hot-mail and amazon, have their own logo's, which are easier to locate, and look nicer.
Is there anyway I could change some of plain white paper ones, to something else?

Have you tried right-click > properties > customise then change icon?
