Trying to disable Briefing as it is so annoying getting the pop ups on screen but it says if I disable Briefing entirely, it could affect other apps on my phone. So what should I do ??

As I see it . . . Think of 'Briefing' a bit like 'Notifications'. If you turn off 'Notifications' on your phone you won't see a light come on to tell you that you've missed a call, text or email. I'm no expert here but (after quite a bit of googling) I'm as confident as I can be that the warning you're seeing is simply telling you that apps which use Briefing won't be able to do so if you disable it.

Samsung's own website includes instructions on how to disable Briefing but the authors don't feel the need to issue any warnings about doing so.

If it was me I'd have no hesitation about disabling Briefing but, as I've said, I'm no expert!

Hi Chris, so the apps which use Briefing wont be able to do so if I disable Briefing. But I dont want Briefing so I wouldnt need the apps. Is that correct?? But .. Would I need the apps for anything else? I am confused!!!

Similarly if you turn off 'Briefing', apps which would otherwise have fed information to it (such as newsreaders, social media or weather apps) won't be able to do so. However if you access those apps directly you'll still have the information available anyway.

Turn it off!
