Google Chrome Task Bar Icon

I am having to use Microsoft Edge first thing as nothing happens when i click on Google chrome,however after a few minutes Chrome pops up.This has been happening for a few days and i cannot find the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Seems like it is using some resource that is taking it's own sweet time. I take it that you can turned off and on again in order to clear everything and start the PC/Windows from afresh ? Worst comes to worst you could always uninstall and then reinstall Chrome.

Thanks O_G,yes i reckon i will do a full uninstall and reinstall,seems the only thing left to try.
