Mini Pc Problem

Recently bought one of these Mini PCS which seemed very Compact and useful for travel with reasonable specs and double OS ,Windows 10 and Android. Although at the moment wish I hadn't bothered, the bloody thing only lasted 2 days.
well actually I was suspicious of this thing from the start when checking the free space it only had 31 GB free out of 64 GB chip.
of course having double OS, does take up a considerable amount of space but not that much, more than half total space!
after doing some checking on internet it appears there should be about 44 GB free not 31, so 13 gigabytes has gone walkies somewhere which definitely ain't right. so I suspect I have been sold a second hand unit dressed up as new, which might explain the damn thing expiring after 2 days and missing 13GB, but proving it of course is a different matter. anyone else come across this kind of problem ?

Take it back. Read the Consumer Rights Act so that they don't insist that it gets sent for repair.
What make and model is it and where did you buy it from?
As Tuvok says, if it doesn't work take it back.

With regard to missing memory, there might be a lot of temporary files (possibly created when installing the operating systems) that are taking up all of the space.

As an analogy, it took me a while to find out where I was losing all of my hard drive space on the Windows 7 PC (with just a 64Gb hard drive) that I'm using to type this. It turned out to be well over 20Gb of temporary Internet Explorer files that were causing the problem, even though I never use Internet Explorer! (I'd been streaming a lot of internet radio via Windows Media Player and had forgotten that WMP shares temporary folders with IE).

To find out where you're losing disk space on a Windows system, use WinDirStat:

Yeah taking it back would be best. But sadly not that easy. Bought it on Amazon in US but was then shipped to Dominican Republic Which many expats do here because everything is very expensive especially Electronics almost double the price. thought it would be relatively easy sending it back but unfortunately this is not the case. With the almost non-existent Postal Service here in DR, the only way to do it is ship it back via FedEx which is crazy expensive over $80. Tried Amazon to help but they won't budge. once it's shipped outside the US you are screwed. so really it's potluck if you get electronic stuff that works you're okay if you have a problem like I did then you are screwed and will lose a lot of money. pretty irritating but lesson learned.. do not buy computers and other expensive electronic item on Amazon if you ship it outside country of origin.

DHL might be a bit cheaper. Based upon the package size and weight for an Android/Windows mini PC I've found on Amazon, they're quoting 2519 Pesos ($53) from the DR to the USA.
^^^ Based on the same weight, using Inposdom EMS would cost you 1635 Pesos ($35):

Well actually DHL was more expensive than FedEx..they quoted $83 and FedEx $81 (shipping weight according to Amazon is 2lbs) But that other one you mentioned EMS sounds very reasonable.Really surprised i have not heard about that one after being here 3 years !
Shall have to see if they have a local office in Sosua or next town Puerto Plata.

Actually thinking about it I got the quote from the shipping agent I usually use which is reliable and cheap for receiving but maybe they quoted me a higher price for sending and might be better to get direct quote from DHL.. but as I said that EMS looks good so will try that first
