Hi,
Turned on PC and all I got was the Lenovo name and a spinning wheel. This kept spinning for an hour or so and I decided to go to Control,Alt,Delete. After a few tries I got Preparing Automatic Repair, then Windows Defender. PC restarted with same original problem.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Whats the operating system?

It's broken.

If it got to windows defender, can you succeed in booting into safe mode ?

Of try booting from a bootable CD ?

Thx for the help. I reinstalled the start up dic but have lost quite a few files.

Thus the benefit of backups.
No, I don't bother either.
