Does anybody do this at all? I've been offered to do a test piece for a company but in PDF form and I've never done it- only manually with pen and paper. Anybody have any advice? I've looked at the accompanying notes and it looks so different to the paper way of doing it.

So do they want you to highlight errors and type the necessary corrections on the electronic document? If so that is presumably the way the work needs to be done if you get the job. Or can you print it off and amend it manually first

They want me to download Foxit reader, and amend the document electronically. They've sent me a guide and said don't rush but I seriously cannot make head nor tail of it : (
If the instructions dont help then it looks like something that would be too awkward to try to explain here when we can't see the documents and software so maybe you need to find someone you know who can walk you through it. Can you follow any of the instructions? eg how to highlight an incorrect spelling? Is it anythink like the way Track Changes works on word a sthat is pretty straightforward?

If you had a throwaway email I'd show you. They seem to be very helpful and patient( the company) and I'd love to be able to do it but I don't want to get it wrong!
I've only ever used adobe to edit a pdf. I convert the document into Word and edit from that. The software is quite expensive. Is Foxit free?
Question Author
Yes it's free. They said I could use Adobe but I've not used either to proofread! Don't know what to do lol
I think you may find that Foxit is not free, just the trial is free.
With Acrobat you add a "sticky" and type the comments in the box.
