How To Update My Windows 10 Firewall With Defender Program

When i try tu turn my windows 10 firewall on in my defender section center it refers (me to cant change some of your settings because of error code 0x8007042c ) so unable to turn my firewall on thanks for any help on this problem tez

Probably because the service is not running.

You could try this Teze.

1. Right click on Start and select Run, type services.msc and press Enter.
Or
2. Click Start , and then type Services in the Search box.
3. Search for Windows Firewall, and then double-click Windows Firewall.
4.Click the Startup type box,and then click Automatic.
5. If Service status is Stopped, click Start.
6. Click Apply, and then click OK.
7. Scroll until you see Base Filtering Engine, and then double-click Base Filtering Engine.
8. If Service status is Stopped, click Start.
9. Click Apply, and then click OK.
10. Restart Windows and check whether Windows Firewall is enabled.
