Sky+ Hd Box Remote Unit

I need to purchase a new remote control for my sky+ hd box. What I need to know is will the new control automatically control my box or do I have to "tune it in" myself? If so, what do I need to do? Many thanks.

When we got our new remote I seem to remember just putting the batteries in and pointing it at the box and it worked fine.
Ensure you buy a proper sky remote and not a knockoff.

You can buy these Sky remotes just about anywhere.
I broke mine a few years ago, went to Tesco to buy a new one and just carried on.

There are a number of different types of Sky remotes so make sure you buy the right one for your Sky box.

While it should work OK with your Sky box you will probably need to enter the make / model of your TV for it to operate the TV sound etc.
