My wife has a Yuntab 10.1 inch Tablet. When she goes on eBay the prices come up in US dollars and there seems no way to change the display to pounds sterling.

This site (https://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/billing-currency.html) and others offer similar suggestions that don't work on the Yuntab tablet. Is it possible to change the default currency? If so how?

Try changing the location settings in Android (assuming it is an Android device)

Go in to Settings then "Language and Input" (or whatever it is called on your device.

Then change all the settings to United Kingdom.

Save and maybe switch it off and on again to pick up all the new settings.
How is she accessing eBay? Is it through her web browser or through a dedicated app?

If it's through her web browser then it appears that she's simply entering the wrong web address. ( https://www.ebay.com/ is the address of eBay USA where, unsurprisingly, prices will be in US dollars. https://www.ebay.co.uk/ is the web address of eBay UK).

If the tablet came with a dedicated app for eBay then it must be the one for eBay USA. She should delete that app (if the tablet permits the removal of pre-installed apps) and install the eBay UK one instead: http://anywhere.ebay.co.uk/mobile/android/ebay/
