Rising costs of Sky TV has resulted in me deciding to ditch Sky and install other means of TV viewing. Can anyone of you tech guys tell me what I need to do ( in laymans language) how I go about disconnecting Sky and installing the MAG250 Linux IPTV top box. Unable to get guide on-line till I buy the unit so all help will be appreciated. Thanks. Tel

Let us know how you get on. Thinking of getting one myself.
What do you want to watch? I dumped Sky over a year ago. I mostly watched tennis, while other half watched the beeb news. I took out a subscription to TennisTV and get many more matches for a lot less than the sky sub. Bought a chromecast (£25) so I can watch on TV and not just on phone/tablet. Can also cast from BBCiplayer.
Can I just point out that if you cancel your SKY subscription, the dish will still work, although you will get SKY's version of Freeview.

I also installed a NOW TV box a couple of years ago, and although I don't use it very often, its very good value at only £4:99 a month.
