Reverse'creators' Update Onwindows 10
7 Answers
Hi,
A while back I foolishly downloaded the Creators update to my Windows 10 OS. Since doing so, I've been experiencing numerous software problems. (It's driving me scatty) Can anyone please advise me if and how to completely clear this last update from my laptop and save my rapidly decreasing state of mind. Many thanks.

Don't uninstall the Creators Update as future windows updates (fixes / patches) will depend on it. Try to sort out any problems you are having. I also have had no problems with the W10 Creators Update.

Have you tried the reset option first
Click start, then click on the three horizontal lines at the top of the menu, then settings, then update&security, then recovery and click the reset button - if that doesnt work try this
Open System Restore. Search for system restore in the Windows 10 Search box and select Create a restore point from the list of results - Enable System Restore - Restore your PC.

I don't know what the 'Creators Update' is (it sounds religious :0) but I allowed Windows to install its latest recent big update in W10, which took about 45 minutes, and now have many issues, including I can't get Google in IE and have to get it in Firefox, neither do any links in Widows Live Mail work.
I don't know if it is possible to do a system restore to a point prior to the update, or if it would work
Any help appreciated.

You need to add Google to IE and then make it the default search provider.
In IE go to Options/Manage add-ons, click on Search Providers. If you have Google click on it and set as default. If you have not got it then click on the 'Find more search providers' and follow the prompts to add it. Restart IE and it should be there.
No idea about Windows Live Mail because I don't use, but take a look around at your security settings for hyperlinks. Probably set too high.
