hi, i once had a bank of pictures you could attach to emails made up of keystrokes, like a rose, face etc. any idea if there is a name for such pics or a link to them> thanks in advance !

I suspect you are thinking about what is often called "ASCII Art" or Line Printer Art.

When I started in the IT business in the 1960's computer operators would sometimes spend weeks of their spare time composing life size pictures of young women with not many clothes on, out of standard ASCII characters (ie X I / \ etc). These often looked quite good when printed out on a line printer and viewed from the other side of the room. I think the practice has "died out".
