I've got some experience of Samsung service agents. In the UK, Samsung have authorised only one company to carry out repairs to tablets and mobiles and I've dealt with them twice. They carry out repairs within and outside the warranty periods and will not charge a fee to look at the tablet.
First of all though, it would be useful if you could provide the model number of the tablet and if it is out of warranty. If the tablet is out of warranty, do you have a rough idea of how long ago the warranty expired?
