If when you pull out the charger plug, the laptop looses all power (as would happen if you pulled the plug on a desktop) – then your battery has no charge.
Note: before conducting this test make sure you have shutdown all applications, otherwise you are very likely to loose data.
The next question is why does your battery have no charge; it could be that it has reached the end of its service life, or the charger circuit within the laptop has developed a fault, or the battery is not connected in circuit for some reason.
