Maybe just erase an app or two, then reboot ? See what that does.

Yes, if it stays on for maybe 30 seconds then just delete a few things at a time- eg a page of saved text messages or a few apps. But if it turns itself off immediately then maybe you need to take it in to the store or see if you can find someone- maybe a teenager in the family- who can have a look at it

if its an android go into settings "storage and USB" click on internal storage, click on "cached date" and click delete see if that helps and as said get rid of apps you dont use unless they are apps that came with the mobile then you cant,
