Went to close my browser earlier and got the message
//By the way, your files are still downloading...
you might lose them if you close the browser//
Any idea what this is about?
(left my browser open while I went out in case it was anything to do with windows 10 update, still the same when I got back...doesn't look right somehow.)
Thanks.
Thanks SA.
Its showing something for match.taboola.com 0 bytes waiting to download
(and yet still getting the message that files are downloading)
Getting a bit worried about this now, any help/advice appreciated.
Thanks
Cheers O-G.
Have since closed/reopened browser and its disappeared. Don't know what it is or how it come to be on my lappy or why my device was telling me that it was downloading.
Thanks fender, already got that on my lappy :-)
Chris, its actually match.taboola.com. Is that the same? And what the hell is (was...) it doing on my device?
Yes, it's the same, Nailit. The domain name is always the bit immediately in front of .com (or .co.uk or whatever). Anything before or after it can be ignored when working out who owns the site.
LOL O-G, I gave up that lark a long time ago...
Cheers Chris, ive got ccleaner installed, isn't that a similar thing?
(sorry, I'm a bit thick with tech stuff. Actually Im just a bit thick full stop...)
CCleaner is a great program but it's not an anti-malware tool. Give AdwCleaner a try. (I suspect that it will find a few nasties on your computer, which you can then zap).
Thanks again Chris for ur speedy response. Forgive me for asking again...just trying to learn a bit here...but I'm a bit stumped as to the diference between Ccleaner and Adwcleaner. If Adwcleaner gets rid of malware, just what does Ccleaner get rid off?
