After several attempts to install the latest Windows 10 update, finally I succeeded - and I'm steaming mad! It was more or less a reset, and I'm finding it difficult to use. I got my browsers back ok, but now I find I can't pin tiles to the start menu - the one that comes up when you click the windows ion on the task /start bar. Before , once you'd found them from the windows icon, you right clicked or dragged the programme so a tile appeared in the start menu - but not any more. It's making it very difficult to find my files and open them. Has anyone else got the same problem?
Thanks Dave - that looks extremely daunting and I'm not in the right frame of mind to cope with it right now. Do you think they will be releasing a patch to correct it?
It's so annoying, I bought this laptop new a few months ago and it's not as hot as I'd hoped. Stupidly I compromised on RAM and got 4mb when I could have done with 8mb. The laptop is already slow and the wifi isn't so hot, I have to use a lead from time to time or the connection times out. I may be upgrading and say *** to the expense. Thankyou, technology is great - when it works!!
I plug the laptop into the modem/router with a CAT lead so I have a hard line rather than Wifi. Sorry to be vague, brain is gone to mush due to recent bereavement...
