I have had my iPad for several years and it is definitely slower than when it was new. Do the admissions from Apple about slowing down older models deliberately to encourage people to by a newer model included IPads as well?
Most definitely I would imagine. What memory does your iPad have e.g. 32gb / 64gb / 128gb?
I ask because the iOS updates are often so large as to render older iPads ‘redundant’.
64gb. Thanks Zac. At least I can change the battery unlike the iPhones after model 6. What I don't understand is that Qpple will reduce the battery price but after Model 6 they were built in and not removable.
Apple is reducing the price of an out-of-warranty iPhone battery replacement by £54 — from £79 to £25 — for anyone with an iPhone 6 or later whose battery needs to be replaced, starting in late January and available worldwide through December 2018. Details will be provided soon on apple.com/uk/.
